Job summary

Caterpillar in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Connected Asset Data Specialist – Regulatory Compliance to support internal clients and engage with industry associations. You will identify, understand, and communicate regulatory requirements for product data across engine, machine, and power system products and their supporting digital apps, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities include collaborating with design teams, reviewing manuals for compliance, and maintaining metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or similar field of study from an accredited college or university.
• A non-technical degree is acceptable provided the candidate meets job-related experience requirements.
• 4+ years of job-related experience in engineering, data science and compliance related role.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to established tools and processes to manage regulatory compliance and data governance.
• Working with design teams performing product and application compliance reviews
• Reviewing technical publications such as Operations & Maintenance Manuals and Special Instructions to ensure compliance related matters have been properly addressed.
• Keeping up to date on new industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements associated with data and communicating requirements to team members and clients.
• Developing and monitoring compliance metrics
• Representing the company externally in various industry association engagements
• Influencing legislation and regulations while in draft-form by working with regulatory bodies
