Job summary

Elsewedy Electric invites a skilled Draftsman to develop and maintain precise technical drawings for projects in the UAE. You will ensure compliance with designs, specs, standards, and client requirements, particularly for construction and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities include updating shop and construction drawings, coordinating across civil, electrical, and mechanical teams, and maintaining rigorous document control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Experience in preparing construction/shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant drafting/design software.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed technical drawings based on engineering designs and project requirements.
• Prepare and update shop drawings, construction drawings, layouts, details, and as-built drawings.
• Review drawings and incorporate comments from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, electrical, mechanical disciplines to avoid design conflicts.
• Maintain control and filing of drawings, revisions, and technical documents.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, approved changes, and engineering instructions.
• Assist engineers in preparing drawings, details, schedules, and other technical documentation.
• Check dimensions, levels, quantities, layouts, and other drawing information for accuracy.
• Prepare drawings for submission to clients, consultants, and authorities as required.
• Maintain an organized drawing register and ensure latest revisions are used.
• Coordinate with site teams to reflect approved changes in drawings.
• Support preparation of final as-built drawings and project handover.
• Ensure drawings are issued, revised, and stored per document control procedures.
• Perform other drafting and technical documentation duties as assigned by Engineering or Project Manager.

Job Purpose:
