Job summary

Drake & Scull International seeks an Electrical Draughtsman to prepare and update electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings for building projects. The role demands accurate drafting, strict revision discipline and a solid understanding of power, lighting, ELV, earthing and lightning protection.

Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines; revise drawings per consultant comments; prepare as-built drawings;

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Electrical Drafting experience in MEP contracting.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency; knowledge of shop, coordination, and as-built drawings.
• Understanding of LV systems, power distribution, lighting, ELV, containment, earthing and lightning protection.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, BOQs and consultant comments.
• Attention to detail, revision control, documentation and deadlines.
• UAE/GCC high-rise, hospitality, residential or commercial project experience.
• Experience with coordinated MEP drawings and clash resolution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical shop drawings for power distribution, lighting, ELV, containment, earthing and lightning protection.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, RFIs, site instructions and design changes.
• Prepare as-built drawings reflecting actual installations and approved site markups.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, title blocks, layers, xrefs, plot styles and organised file structures.
• Support electrical engineers with technical details, load schedules, layouts, sections and installation drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are clear, accurate, compliant and suitable for site execution.
