Job summary

The Draughtsman role at Client of PlaceUp involves preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, layouts and construction details for construction, MEP and façade projects. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers and site teams to ensure drawings are precise, coordinated and compliant with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Draughtsman in construction, MEP, façade, aluminium, glazing, or related industries.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit, BIM or other design software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP and technical drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials and detailing.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical construction shop and as-built drawings.
• Develop drawings based on architectural, structural, MEP and façade designs.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts and installation drawings.
• Produce facade drawings including curtain wall, glazing, aluminium and related details where applicable.
• Prepare MEP drawings covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building services as required.
• Coordinate drawings between architectural, structural, façade and MEP disciplines.
• Review drawings and identify potential clashes or technical issues.
• Incorporate engineer and consultant comments into drawings.
• Prepare drawings for submission, approval, fabrication and site execution.
• Update drawings based on site changes and prepare accurate as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to reflect actual project requirements.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control.
• Ensure all drawings follow project standards, specifications and applicable codes.
• Assist engineers and project teams with technical documentation and drawing requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of experience as a Draughtsman within construction, MEP, façade, aluminium, glazing, or related industries.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit, BIM, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and technical drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of drawing revisions and technical documentation.
• Ability to work with engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
