Job summary

Agile Consultants in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical Draftsman to support drawings for Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation systems within the Water Treatment division.

The candidate will prepare design, shop and as-built drawings, SLDs, PLC schematics, panel layouts and associated wiring diagrams using AutoCAD. A minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical drafting experience is required, with UAE/GCC exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical drafting experience.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, and As-Built Drawings for Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation systems.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for MCCs, MDBs, SMDBs, and DBs.
• Prepare PLC schematic diagrams and internal panel layouts.
• Develop lighting and small power layouts.
• Create cable tray and cable routing layouts with sections and details.
• Prepare instrumentation loop drawings and hook-up drawings.
• Review project specs, engineering inputs and equipment details.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Engineers.
• Incorporate client and consultant comments and modifications.
• Update drawings based on site modifications and prepare final As-Built Drawings.

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsman to support the preparation of technical drawings for Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation systems within the Water Treatment division.

The Electrical Draftsman will be responsible for preparing Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), panel drawings, PLC schematics, lighting and small power layouts, cable routing layouts, and instrumentation drawings using AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate for this Electrical Draftsman Job in Dubai should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical drafting experience, strong AutoCAD proficiency, and a good understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems. Experience within water and wastewater treatment or similar industrial projects would be preferred.

• Prepare Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, and As-Built Drawings using AutoCAD for Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation systems.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and drawings for MCCs, MDBs, SMDBs, and DBs.

• Incorporate comments and modifications received from clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Update drawings based on site modifications and prepare final As-Built Drawings.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project.

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Drafting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Hands-on experience preparing Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, and As-Built Drawings.
• Strong experience with SLDs, MCCs, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, PLC schematics, and internal panel layouts.
• Experience preparing lighting, small power, cable tray, and cable routing layouts.
• Experience with instrumentation loop drawings and hook-up drawings.
• Good understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Candidates with experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment, STP/WTP/ETP, Pumping Stations, EPC, Industrial Automation, Electrical & Instrumentation Contracting, or Process Plants would be preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, project specifications, and technical documentation.
• UAE/GCC experience would be an advantage.
• Good coordination skills and attention to detail.
