Job summary

Elsewedy Electric UAE is seeking an experienced Civil/Construction Engineer to design and deliver civil works for complex construction projects. You will prepare drawings, calculations and specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role demands 5–8 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil design tools, and familiarity with TAQA HV projects (132/220/400 kV).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering design software.
• Experience with TAQA projects and 132 kV, 220 kV, and/or 400 kV projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop civil engineering designs, calculations and drawings.
• Review project requirements, specs, BOQs and design criteria.
• Develop designs for foundations, structures, roads and earthworks.
• Prepare and review design calculations, specifications and docs.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards and client specs.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Support site teams with technical queries and clarifications.
• Participate in design meetings and track progress against timelines.

• Prepare and develop civil engineering designs, calculations and technical drawings.
• Review project requirements, specifications, BOQs and design criteria.
• Develop designs for foundations, concrete structures, roads, drainage, earthworks and other civil works as applicable.
• Prepare and review design calculations, technical specifications and design documents.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, authority requirements and client specifications.
• Review and verify civil drawings, layouts, details and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, structural and other engineering disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Provide technical solutions to design and engineering issues.
• Review technical submissions, material specifications and design-related documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and project/site teams regarding design requirements.
• Support site teams by resolving technical queries and providing design clarifications.
• Conduct site visits and verify existing/site conditions where required.
• Review and incorporate consultant/client comments into design deliverables.
• Ensure proper control and revision of drawings and design documents.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings and provide design progress updates.
• Ensure design activities are delivered within project timelines and quality requirements.
• Perform other engineering and design duties as assigned.

• 5–8 years' of relevant experience in construction projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant civil engineering design software
