The Document Controller is responsible for maintaining an organized and reliable flow of technical, administrative and project documentation across an active site environment. The role supports construction delivery by ensuring drawings, correspondence, reports, approvals and other records are properly received, indexed, distributed, updated and archived. Accurate document control reduces the risk of teams working from outdated information, strengthens audit readiness and improves coordination between consultants, contractors and project stakeholders. The position also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying workflow delays, correcting documentation discrepancies and promoting consistent use of established systems.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience as a Document Controller or within a comparable project documentation position, ideally supporting construction, engineering or site-based operations. Strong working knowledge of Aconex or a similar electronic document management platform is important. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and comfortable managing large volumes of project information with consistent accuracy. A good understanding of document numbering, indexing, classification, filing structures, revision control and archival processes is required. Strong English communication skills are essential for coordinating documentation with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.
