A Document Controller is sought to manage the structured flow of technical and administrative documents across project teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders in Abu Dhabi. The Document Controller will manage the structured flow of technical and administrative documentation across project teams, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders. The role ensures that drawings, reports, contracts, manuals, correspondence, procedures, and project records remain current, properly classified, securely stored, and available to authorized users when required. Reliable document control directly supports project governance, quality assurance, audit readiness, decision-making, and efficient coordination. By maintaining disciplined records and accurate revision histories, the position helps reduce documentation errors, prevent the use of outdated information, and strengthen overall project delivery.
Ideal Profile Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline and bring at least 5 years of professional experience as a Document Controller or in a closely related records management position. Previous experience within engineering, environmental, construction, infrastructure, or other project-based sectors is important. Candidates should understand document control workflows, revision management, technical document distribution, filing structures, approval processes, and record traceability. Strong knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems is required, together with practical proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel. Advanced English skills, including accurate spelling, grammar, and written communication, are important because the role involves frequent handling of formal project documentation. The successful candidate will be highly organized, comfortable managing multiple document streams simultaneously, and capable of identifying errors before they affect project operations. Strong interpersonal skills, responsiveness, discretion, and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressure will support success in this position.
