Job summary

Duncan & Ross in Dubai seeks a Document Controller with experience in the Pre-Contract phase, especially during the Design stage of construction projects. The candidate should have experience working with design teams and consultants and have a clear understanding of how documentation flows during early project stages.

You will classify, version-control, and coordinate submissions for Authority Approvals while ensuring compliance with UAE standards and project procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in document control within the Pre-Contract/Design phase.
• Strong understanding of UAE authority approval processes and documentation standards.
• Must be located in UAE.
• Proficiency in document control platforms (e.g. Aconex Unifier Procore).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all project documentation during the Design stage including Concept, Schematic, Detailed, and Tender Documentation.
• Identify and organize deliverables across design phases.
• Ensure proper classification, version control and tracking of documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and engineers to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
• Support the preparation and submission of documents for Authority Approvals.
• Maintain compliance with project-specific document control procedures and standards.

• Handling all project documentation during the Design stage including:
  • Concept Design
  • Schematic Design
  • Detailed Design
  • Tender Documentation
• Identifying and organize project deliverables across various design phases.
• Ensuring proper classification version control and tracking of documents.
• Coordinating with consultants and engineers to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of documents for Authority Approvals.
• Maintaining compliance with project-specific document control procedures and standards.
• Technical Expertise:
• Ability to identify and differentiate between various drawing disciplines including:
  • Architectural
  • Structural
  • Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)
  • ID
• Familiarity with different types of drawings such as:
  • Authority Approved Drawings
  • Issued for Construction (IFC) Drawings
  • Issued for Tender Drawings

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in document control within the Pre-Contract/Design phase.
