Job summary

ALEC Holdings is seeking a Digital Construction Coordinator to drive BIM coordination, information management, and delivery across complex UAE projects.

You will support information requirements, manage the CDE/EDMS, and lead BIM workflows from contract award through handover, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and Information Management processes.
• Proficiency with BIM authoring tools and coordination software.
• Understanding of openBIM standards (IFC, COBie).
• Experience with cloud-based CDE platforms (Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; good communication across disciplines.
• Exposure to automated model checking and data validation tools (e.g., Solibri).
• Familiarity with Python/Dynamo and 4D/5D BIM processes; Power BI data skills.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and delivery of project information requirements.
• Help ensure client exchange information requirements are met and documented.
• Develop and maintain information management resources (plans, matrices, schedules).
• Monitor and maintain the project CDE and EDMS.
• Assist BIM workflows from contract award to handover of deliverables.
• Undertake 3D spatial coordination; report clashes to stakeholders.
• Provide BIM process training and day-to-day support to project teams.
• Carry out QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables.
• Contribute to project reporting, tender support, and process improvements.
• Apply technical knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes in your specialty.
• Undertake other duties as required by management to meet business needs.

About Your Team

The Digital Construction team plays a key role in enabling project success through effective BIM implementation, model coordination, and information management. We foster a collaborative environment where innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence help deliver smarter and more connected construction projects.

Your Role

As a Digital Construction Coordinator, you will

• Support the communication and delivery of project information requirements internally and externally.
• Assist in ensuring client exchange information requirements are met and properly documented.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of information management resources, including execution plans, responsibility matrices, and delivery schedules.
• Help monitor and maintain the project's Common Data Environment (CDE) and electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Support the setup and management of BIM workflows from contract award through to handover of deliverables.
• Undertake 3D spatial coordination using BIM software, reporting clashes and issues to project stakeholders.
• Provide training and day‑to‑day support on BIM processes, use cases, and digital tools to project teams.
• Carry out QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables from internal teams and subcontractors.
• Contribute to project‑level reporting, tender support, and the continuous improvement of digital construction processes.
• Apply technical expertise and discipline‑specific knowledge to deliver high‑quality outcomes within your area of specialisation.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business.

What We're Looking For

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of ISO 19650 & Information Management (IM) processes.
• Proficiency with BIM authoring tools (Revit, Tekla, Archicad) & coordination software (Navisworks, Revizto).
• Understanding of openBIM standards such as Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) & Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie).
• Experience with cloud‑based CDE platforms (Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud Docs).
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational & problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Exposure to automated model checking & data validation tools (e.g., Solibri).
• Familiarity with visual programming (Python, Dynamo) and 4D/5D BIM processes.
• Experience with data management & reporting platforms (Microsoft Power BI).
• Analytical, resilient, & adaptable with a positive, collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn & develop professionally.

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or
• 5+ years experience
