Job summary

ALEC Holdings invites applications for a Junior Digital Construction Engineer to join ALEC Building. You will engage in BIM workflows, coordinate information delivery, and support digital construction initiatives across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 2+ years experience in digital construction or BIM roles.
• Experience with ISO 19650 and information management processes.
• Experience using BIM authoring tools (Revit, Tekla, Archicad).
• Proficiency with coordination software (Navisworks, Revizto).
• Familiarity with cloud-based CDE platforms (Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and collaborative skills."

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring client information requirements are delivered.
• Support development and maintenance of BIM execution plans and information delivery plans.
• Configure and administer ALEC’s distributed CDE solution and collaboration stack.
• Help set up BIM workflows from contract award through handover.
• Assist in 3D spatial coordination and clash reporting.
• Provide day-to-day support for BIM processes and digital tools.
• Carry out QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables.
• Apply technical expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Undertake other duties as required by management.

About Your Team

Your Role

As a Digital Construction Engineer - Jnr, you will

• Assist in ensuring client exchange information requirements are delivered against.
• Understand and where required support the development and upkeep of information management resources, including the BIM execution plan, lead appointed party exchange information requirements, responsibility matrices, and master information delivery plan.
• Support the configuration and administration of ALEC’s distributed CDE solution(s) and core collaboration technology stack.
• Contribute to the setup and operation of BIM workflows from contract award through to handover.
• Assist in 3D spatial coordination, reporting clashes and issues to project stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day support for BIM processes, use cases, and associated digital tools.
• Carry out QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables.
• Apply technical expertise and discipline-specific knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes within your area of specialisation.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Competencies

• Awareness of ISO 19650 & Information Management (IM) processes.
• Basic experience with BIM authoring tools (Revit, Tekla, Archicad etc.)
• Familiarity with coordination software (Navisworks, Revizto, etc.)
• Awareness of cloud-based CDE platforms (Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills, with a collaborative & detail-oriented approach.
• Familiarity with visual programming (e.g., Dynamo) & data management tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI).
• Analytical thinker with a positive, adaptable mindset.
• Willingness to learn and develop in digital construction technologies
