Job summary

ALEC Technologies in the UAE is seeking an experienced ELV BIM Modeler to develop and maintain detailed BIM models for ELV systems, coordinate with project teams, and ensure models meet BIM standards and LOD requirements.

You will create 3D Revit models from design markups, support clash detection, and mentor junior modelers while contributing to iconic projects across airports, hospitality, and data centres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology or related
• Minimum 5+ years of BIM/Revit modelling experience within ELV or technology projects
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Good understanding of ELV systems and related technologies
• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD 100–500, and multidisciplinary workflows
• Experience producing coordinated shop drawings and construction documentation
• Strong model management, file hygiene and BIM data quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for ELV systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, AV, PAVA, GRMS, BMS and related systems
• Create accurate 3D Revit models from design markups and drawings
• Incorporate design revisions, RFIs and site changes into models
• Produce coordinated shop drawings, installation details and construction docs
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors
• Lead modelling activities for assigned project areas or systems
• Develop and maintain Revit families and parametric components
• Assist in resolving design clashes through coordination with stakeholders
• Mentor and support junior BIM Modelers on standards and workflows
• Maintain model quality through naming conventions and data integrity

As an ELV BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining high-quality BIM models and construction documentation for a wide range of ELV systems. Working closely with BIM Coordinators, project engineers, and site teams, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects by ensuring models meet project specifications, BIM standards, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, and multidisciplinary coordination objectives.

Your Role

Your Role

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for ELV systems, including Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, Audio-Visual (AV), Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA), SMATV/IPTV, Intercom, Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and related low-current systems.
• Create accurate 3D Revit models from design mark-ups, consultant drawings, and redlined documents.
• Produce coordinated routing layouts for cable trays, conduits, trunking, containment systems, and equipment installations.
• Prepare coordinated shop drawings, builder's work drawings, sleeve layouts, installation details, and composite services drawings.
• Organize and maintain drawing sheets and BIM documentation in accordance with project and company standards.
• Support BIM Coordinators with model exports, clash detection, and model validation activities.
• Incorporate design revisions, RFIs, consultant comments, and site changes into BIM models.
• Maintain model quality through consistent family usage, naming conventions, object data, and file management practices.
• Produce detailed installation drawings and construction documentation to support project delivery.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Lead modelling activities for assigned project areas or systems.
• Develop and maintain Revit families and parametric components where required.
• Assist in resolving multidisciplinary design clashes through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior BIM Modelers by promoting BIM standards, modelling best practices, and efficient workflows.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required to support project and business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of BIM/Revit modelling experience within ELV or technology systems projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of ELV systems, including structured cabling, CCTV, Access Control, AV, PAVA, BMS, SMATV/IPTV, GRMS, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, Level of Development (LOD 100–500), and multidisciplinary BIM coordination workflows.
• Experience producing coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, and construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of model management, file hygiene, naming conventions, and BIM data quality.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Navisworks or Revizto for clash detection and model coordination.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 Docs.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Civil 3D, or BIM automation workflows.
• Understanding of ISO 19650, BS1192, and Common Data Environment (CDE) standards.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, hospitality, healthcare, airport, or data centre projects.
