Job summary

ALEC Technologies in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to drive the implementation of BIM across ICT, ELV, AV, Security, and Smart Systems projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary models, ensure compliance with BIM standards, and support project teams throughout the lifecycle.

You will work closely with the BIM Manager, manage clash detection, and deliver high-quality BIM content within ACC, BIM 360, and CDE environments, while mentoring junior specialists

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years' BIM coordination experience in construction projects, with ELV/MEP exposure.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, ACC, BIM 360 and other BIM coordination platforms.
• Solid understanding of BIM standards, BEP, ISO 19650, CDE, and Information Management principles.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, clash detection, and deliverables.
• Knowledge of current MEP/ELV design and construction practices.
• Experience producing BIM reports, quantity take-offs, asset information, and deliverables.
• Proven communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist BIM Manager in implementing BIM standards, workflows, and digital delivery for ELV systems.
• Develop and maintain high-quality BIM models for ICT, ELV, AV, Security, and Smart Systems.
• Create and manage discipline-specific Revit families, templates, and BIM libraries.
• Ensure BIM models comply with BEP, ISO 19650, and project requirements.
• Lead model coordination activities including clash detection, issue tracking, and RFI support.
• Publish and distribute coordinated BIM models through ACC, BIM 360, and CDE.
• Coordinate with consultants and site teams to align models with construction methods.
• Produce BIM reports, take-offs, schedules, and asset information deliverables.
• Support as-built models, asset registers, and handover documentation.
• Perform model QA checks and drive BIM process improvements.
• Identify constructability issues and provide model-based solutions.
• Mentor junior BIM Modelers.

Your Role

• Assist the Project BIM Manager in implementing project BIM standards, Information Management workflows, and digital delivery processes for ELV systems.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain high-quality BIM models for ICT, ELV, AV, Security, and Smart Systems.
• Create and manage discipline-specific Revit families, templates, and BIM content libraries.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements, company BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 principles.
• Lead model coordination activities, including clash detection, issue tracking, coordination meetings, and RFI support.
• Publish, update, and distribute coordinated BIM models and deliverables through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure models align with construction methodologies and installation sequences.
• Produce BIM reports, quantity take-offs, schedules, asset information, and other project deliverables.
• Support the development of as-built models, asset registers, and project handover documentation.
• Perform model quality assurance checks and drive continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows.
• Identify constructability issues and provide practical, model-based solutions.
• Support and mentor junior BIM Modelers where required.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
• Minimum 7 years' experience in BIM coordination within construction projects, with strong exposure to ELV and/or MEP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and other BIM coordination platforms.
• Solid understanding of BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650, Common Data Environments (CDE), and Information Management principles.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, performing clash detection, and managing project BIM deliverables.
• Knowledge of current MEP and ELV system design and construction practices.
• Experience producing quantity take-offs, BIM reports, and asset information deliverables.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and meeting project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with Revizto, Synchro, or other 4D planning and coordination platforms.
• Experience developing BIM content libraries and templates.
• Previous experience coaching or mentoring junior BIM professionals.
