Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai seeks a non-management cook to prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, thaw ingredients, and ensure quality and presentation.

You will assist management in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching staff, while following safety policies and protecting company assets. A technical degree and 3+ years of related kitchen experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen items in the refrigerator and ensure proper portions.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of food.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for use in specials.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff.
• Follow all safety policies and report maintenance needs or incidents.
• Ensure uniform and professional appearance; protect company assets.
• Stand, walk, or lift up to 25 pounds; perform other duties as requested.
