Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai is seeking a non-management kitchen teammate to support food preparation and cooking in a luxury environment. You will portion, chop, wash, weigh, and mix ingredients, and prepare cold foods while operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers according to recipes and quality standards.

Maintain a clean work area, monitor temperatures, follow safety policies, and uphold The Gold Standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
• Wash and peel fruits and vegetables; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards and check temperatures.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers; monitor food doneness and quality.
• Set up and break down work station; maintain clean, safe kitchen area and equipment.
