Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a leading international energy, commodities and trading organisation in Dubai to recruit a governance professional. The role is centered on building a best-in-class governance function and supporting boards and committees across regional and global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Governance, Compliance or related discipline.
• Experience supporting boards, committees and governance reporting processes.
• Strong written English and documentation skills; ability to draft policies and minutes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate board and committee meetings: agenda, minute-taking, action tracking.
• Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare governance reports and management information for internal stakeholders.

Job Description

• Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking, and follow-up activities
• Maintain and enhance corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support business objectives
• Prepare governance reports and management information for internal stakeholders and governance committees
• Monitor compliance with governance processes, ensuring documentation, approvals, and records remain accurate and complete
• Support governance-related due diligence and KYC activities while liaising with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and commercial teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded within transaction approval processes, committee activities, and key corporate initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

• 5-8 years of experience within corporate governance, company secretarial, legal operations, paralegal, or governance-focused compliance functions
• Bachelor's degree in Law or a Governance, Compliance, or related discipline
• Proven experience supporting boards, committees, executive stakeholders, and governance reporting processes
• Strong documentation, policy review, drafting, and minute-taking skills with exceptional written English
• Resilient, organised, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, using strong stakeholder management skills to drive accountability and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
