The Senior Corporate Governance Manager in the energy industry will oversee and manage corporate governance processes to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. This permanent role is based in Dubai and requires a strong background in legal and governance frameworks.

Description

Lead and develop the Corporate Governance function, managing compliance, KYC, and governance professionals. Own and enhance the company's governance framework, Board processes, committee structures, and delegated authority models. Provide senior oversight of compliance programmes covering sanctions, AML, KYC, anti-bribery, and conduct risk. Drive the organisation's ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, responsible trading initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. Partner with regulators, auditors, investors, banks, and senior leadership to strengthen governance and risk management practices. Champion a culture of ethical decision-making and corporate accountability across the organisation, driving continuous improvement in governance standards and best practices.

Profile

Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 10+ years' experience across corporate governance, compliance, company secretarial, or related functions, including leadership responsibility. Strong understanding of corporate governance, statutory compliance, Board governance, and regulatory frameworks. Experience overseeing compliance, KYC/AML, sanctions, or risk management activities within a regulated sector. Proven track record in ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, and engaging with senior stakeholders including Boards and regulators. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex regulatory environments, and balance commercial objectives with governance and risk considerations.
