Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Corporate Governance Officer / Assistant Company Secretary to support boards and committees, enhance governance frameworks and manage documentation across the trading business. The role emphasizes meticulous minute-taking, policy review and ensuring accountability in a fast-paced, global environment.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and commercial teams, driving governance standards while coordinating meetings, due diligence, and KYC activities

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in corporate governance, company secretarial, legal operations, paralegal, or governance-focused compliance functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Law or Governance, Compliance, or related discipline.
• Proven experience supporting boards, committees and governance reporting processes.
• Strong documentation, policy review, drafting and minute-taking with excellent written English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agenda prep, minute-taking and action tracking.
• Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare governance reports and management information for internal stakeholders and committees.
• Monitor governance processes, ensuring documentation, approvals and records are accurate.
• Support governance due diligence and KYC activities with stakeholders across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance and commercial teams to embed governance in transactions and initiatives.
