Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Corporate Governance Officer / Assistant Company Secretary to support boards and committees, maintain governance frameworks, and ensure accurate documentation and accountability across the trading business in Abu Dhabi.

The role involves policy enhancement, governance reporting, and close collaboration with legal, compliance, finance and commercial teams to embed governance in transaction approvals and key initiatives.

Qualifications

Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking, and follow-up activitiesMaintain and enhance corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support business objectivesPrepare governance reports and management information for internal stakeholders and governance committeesMonitor compliance with governance processes, ensuring documentation, approvals, and records remain accurate and completeSupport governance-related due diligence and KYC activities while liaising with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictionsCollaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and commercial teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded within transaction approval processes, committee activities, and key corporate initiatives.

Profile

5-8 years of experience within corporate governance, company secretarial, legal operations, paralegal, or governance-focused compliance functionsBachelor's degree in Law or a Governance, Compliance, or related disciplineProven experience supporting boards, committees, executive stakeholders, and governance reporting processesStrong documentation, policy review, drafting, and minute-taking skills with exceptional written EnglishResilient, organised, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced and evolving environmentDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, using strong stakeholder management skills to drive accountability and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
