Qualifications

• MD or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy.
• Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced clinical environment.
• Must hold or be eligible for SCFHS licensing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP (if applicable).
• Interpret imaging, labs and endoscopic findings to develop treatment plans.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians and other specialists.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain medical records in accordance with Saudi regulations.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support training and mentorship of junior doctors and residents.
• Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and new techniques.

• Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop evidence‑based treatment plans


• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations


• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure integrated patient care


• Participate in on‑call duties as required by the department

Qualifications
