Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and chronic digestive conditions.
• Assess and treat liver diseases and other hepatology‑related conditions.
• Perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic indications.
• Conduct colonoscopy for screening, diagnosis, surveillance, and treatment.
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases according to clinical need.
• Evaluate abdominal symptoms, altered bowel habits, gastrointestinal bleeding, reflux, and other digestive complaints.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, pathology findings, and endoscopic results.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow‑up plans based on diagnosis, disease severity, and patient needs.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust medication, procedural, or lifestyle strategies when required.
• Manage chronic liver disease and coordinate further specialist care where necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, internal medicine physicians, and other specialists.
• Provide clear consultations and counselling to Arabic-speaking patients and families.
• Educate patients about digestive health, preventive care, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence.
• Maintain accurate consultation notes, procedure reports, treatment plans, and follow‑up documentation.
