Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Al Ain, UAE invites an experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon to diagnose, treat and manage benign and malignant breast diseases. You will perform breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy and oncoplastic procedures, collaborate with oncologists and radiologists, and lead multidisciplinary care teams.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent, UK CCT with breast subspecialty or American Board, DOH Consultant Licence eligibility, and 5–8 years post-specialist experience.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree MBBS or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• UK CCT in General Surgery with subspecialty training in Breast Surgery or American Board Certification.
• Tier 1 qualification as per DHA guidelines.
• Minimum 5–8 years of post-specialist experience in Breast Surgery.
• Expertise in breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, oncoplastic procedures, and sentinel lymph node biopsy.
• Eligible for DOH Consultant Licence.
• Experience in a tertiary care or internationally accredited hospital preferred.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast diseases.

• Perform sentinel lymph node biopsy and other advanced breast surgical techniques.
• Evaluate patients using imaging, biopsy, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Develop personalised surgical treatment plans.
• Provide outpatient consultations and post-operative follow-up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary breast cancer teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations.
• Participate in tumour board meetings, quality improvement, and governance initiatives.
• Stay updated with advances in breast surgery and oncological care.
