Job summary

Client of Dr Expat is seeking a Consultant Breast Surgeon in Abu Dhabi to diagnose and manage patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. You will perform advanced oncoplastic breast surgery, including breast-conserving procedures, mastectomies and reconstruction, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasises evidence-based patient-centred cancer care, surgical excellence, and ongoing professional development in a leading cancer centre.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology.
• Fellowship or equivalent training in Breast Cancer Surgery.
• Experience in oncoplastic breast surgery preferred.
• Experience in reconstructive breast procedures following cancer treatment is required.
• Experience working in a comprehensive cancer centre or oncology-focused hospital preferred.
• Western-trained Arab candidates are preferred.
• Valid UAE medical license or eligibility (DOH / DHA / MOH).
• Tier 1 qualification preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast diseases
• Perform breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy and oncoplastic procedures
• Carry out breast reconstruction following cancer surgery where appropriate
• Perform sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary surgical procedures
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer meetings and treatment planning
• Interpret breast imaging and pathology findings to guide treatment decisions
• Deliver compassionate patient counselling throughout diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with international quality standards
• Contribute to clinical governance, teaching and continuous professional development

As a Consultant Breast Surgeon you will diagnose and manage patients with benign and malignant breast conditions while performing advanced oncoplastic breast surgery: breast-conserving procedures, mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsies and reconstructive breast surgeries.
