Job summary

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Document Controller to efficiently manage document movements across electronic and paper formats. You will maintain control systems, supervise junior staff, and liaise with designers and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The role includes procedures review, training colleagues, and improving document handling practices within AFC and Al-Futtaim Real Estate projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Management or related discipline.
• Excellent IT skills at an intermediate level (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• 3–5 years of experience in the construction business.
• Behavioral competencies including initiative, teamwork, and drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Manage all movements of documents, incoming/outgoing either electronically or on paper.
• Maintain a document control system for all information.
• Collate, monitor and distribute information regularly.
• Maintain up-to-date records for team availability.
• Issue and distribute controlled copies per the Design Management Plan.
• Check drawings for conformance with status and format.
• Liaise with designers and suppliers on information issues.
• Troubleshoot the drawing management system and peripherals.
• Provide advice on procedures for issuing and accessing information.
• Periodically review and revise procedures and obtain authorization.
