Job summary

Accor is seeking a skilled Commis I to support daily kitchen operations at the Heartists Cafeteria. The ideal candidate will handle Asian, African, Arabic, Indian and Continental dishes, including breakfast offerings, while upholding high standards of food quality and presentation.

The role requires a culinary background, experience in a 4- or 5-star setting, and strict adherence to HACCP and hygiene practices in a multicultural kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or professional culinary certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Commis I in a 4- or 5-star hotel, resort, or large-scale operation.
• Good knowledge of Asian, African, Arabic, Indian and Continental cuisines.
• Experience in preparing and supporting breakfast service across international cuisines.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP standards, and proper handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Asian cuisines and other regional dishes.
• Support daily breakfast preparation across Indian, Asian, Arabic, African and Continental cuisines.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion control and presentation.
• Ensure timely food preparation and replenishment during service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Monitor stock rotation, minimize waste and keep kitchen clean.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dining experiences.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented Commis I with knowledge of diverse international cuisines to support daily kitchen operations at the Heartists Cafeteria. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing Asian, African, Arabic, Indian, and Continental dishes, including a variety of international breakfast selections, while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

• Prepare and cook Asian cuisines, including Filipino, Myanmar, Indonesian, and other regional dishes.
• Prepare African, Arabic, Indian and Continental dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Support daily breakfast preparation and service across Indian, Asian, Arabic, African, and Continental cuisines.
• Maintain consistency in food taste, quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Ensure timely food preparation and replenishment during cafeteria service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and proper food storage standards.
• Monitor stock rotation, minimize food waste, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and a high-quality dining experience for all Heartists.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or professional culinary certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, resort, or large-scale catering operation.
• Good knowledge of Asian (Filipino, Myanmar, Indonesian), African, Arabic, Indian, and Continental cuisines.
• Experience in preparing and supporting breakfast service across various international cuisines.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, HACCP standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes, maintain food quality, and work efficiently in a multicultural kitchen team.
