Job description

Civil Inspector – Bridges and Roads.

Location: Dubai, UAE.

Function: Civil & Structural Engineering.

Minimum Experience: 7 years in similar projects, including 3 years in UAE.

Salary: 12000-18000 AED per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand project contract documents, drawings, specifications, health and safety requirements, and related updates.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project standards, technical specifications, approved drawings, and contract requirements.
• Carry out site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer.
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, work progress, material deliveries, and site activities.
• Liaise with the contractor and follow up daily to ensure proper management of resources, site equipment, safety controls, and construction activities.
• Prepare daily reports for the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer covering work orders, inspections, material deliveries, and site progress.
• Follow up and implement site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer.
• Apply quality controls and site quality procedures throughout inspection and supervision activities.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks required for bridge works and associated structures.
• Coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections in the presence of the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer.
• Monitor contractor QA‑QC activities and maintain complete inspection and quality records.
• Assist with correspondence preparation related to contract documents, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Work with the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer to resolve site problems promptly.
• Monitor start‑up, commissioning, and handover activities while maintaining records of project milestones.
• Maintain records of material tests, executed works, inspection results, and site quality evidence.
• Audit inspections for conformity with contract documents and contractor‑submitted plans.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience on similar construction, structural, bridge, or road projects.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience is required.
