The role supports project quality, safety, and compliance by checking civil and structural works, reviewing field conditions, witnessing tests, monitoring subcontracted work, and maintaining accurate inspection input for reports and procedures. By identifying non‑compliance early and confirming that work follows contract specifications, you help protect construction quality, reduce rework, and support safe delivery of public infrastructure assets.

Core Duties

  • Conduct or witness civil and structural tests including soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torque checks, and concrete coring.
  • Monitor underground piping works to verify tightness, bedding, line, level, grade, and compliance with approved installation requirements.
  • Inspect piling installation activities to confirm correct location, alignment, bearing, and installation quality.
  • Validate piping systems through drawing checks, P and ID review where applicable, hydraulic testing, pressure testing, and related field verification.
  • Inspect electrical installation interfaces when required to verify proper grounding, circuit integrity, and compliance with statutory and client requirements.
  • Monitor painting and insulation activities to confirm required thickness, coverage continuity, and workmanship quality.
  • Provide general inspection coverage for construction labour, subcontracted work, and site activities to ensure professional workmanship.
  • Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations where these activities are connected to assigned inspection responsibilities.
  • Participate in the preparation of quality control reports, inspection records, site observations, and project procedures.
  • Support development of job safety practices and assist in preparing safety reports when required.
  • Administer or assist with welder qualification tests when assigned by the project team.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection requirements.
  • Record field observations clearly and report non‑compliance, quality concerns, or unsafe practices to the appropriate project representatives.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and quality teams to support timely inspection closure and proper documentation.
  • Perform other inspection and site supervision duties related to civil infrastructure works as required by the project.
Ideal Profile
  • Diploma of 3 years or degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision for infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in roads, bridges, highways, utilities, and civil infrastructure works.
  • UAE project experience preferred, with at least 3 years of relevant regional or project‑based experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes related to civil inspection, structural works, utilities, roads, and infrastructure assignments.
  • Practical knowledge of field testing, quality control checks, inspection procedures, and site reporting.
  • Ability to identify workmanship issues, specification deviations, and construction quality concerns.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inspection records and communicate clearly with site teams.
