Position Overview

Structural Site Inspector role in Dubai supporting transportation and infrastructure projects with a focus on bridges, roads, and associated structures. This role ensures on-site compliance with contract documents, drawings, quality standards, and health and safety requirements while working closely with the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer teams across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and maintain familiarity with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved standards and specifications
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources
• Perform site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer
• Liaise daily with contractors to ensure effective management of resources, safety, and equipment
• Prepare daily site reports covering work orders, material deliveries, and inspection activities
• Implement and follow up on site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer
• Apply and enforce site quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Carry out site measurements and surveying checks for bridge works and associated structures
• Coordinate with client project managers during inspections alongside the engineering team
• Monitor contractor QA and QC activities and maintain accurate records
• Assist in preparation of correspondence and documentation in compliance with contract requirements
• Identify site issues and support timely resolution with the engineering team
• Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover activities and maintain milestone records
• Maintain records of material tests, inspection reports, and executed works
• Conduct audit inspections to verify conformity with contract documents and contractor submissions

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience on similar infrastructure or structural projects
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the UAE
• Experience in bridges, roads, and structural works supervision
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and site practices
• RTA approval is preferred
• Strong reporting, coordination, and site inspection skills
