Job summary

Galfar Engineering and Contracting WLL Emirates seeks a Camp Manager in Abu Dhabi to manage the operations of multiple labour accommodation camps. Responsibilities include supervising camp staff, maintaining facilities, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and overseeing catering services.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in managing large-capacity labour camps and is a graduate. A valid UAE Driving Licence is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations of multiple labour accommodation camps, ensuring smooth daily functioning and compliance with company standards.
• Supervise Camp Bosses, supervisors, and support staff, ensuring discipline, performance, and service quality across all camp locations.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of camp facilities including accommodation blocks, kitchens, offices, and common areas.
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of MEP systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and water systems.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards within the camps, conduct safety inspections, drills, and emergency response planning.
• Manage catering and hospitality services including food quality and hygiene standards, menu planning, inventory control, and cafeteria operations.
• Coordinate logistics related to room allocation, manpower arrivals and departures, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation arrangements.
• Monitor camp inventory and consumables; prepare cost, consumption, and operational reports.
• Handle administrative duties including record maintenance, staff attendance, vendor coordination, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure the welfare, well-being, and living standards of camp residents; address grievances and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour accommodation regulations and relevant local authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of proven experience as a Camp Manager / Camp Accommodation Manager, with hands‑on responsibility for large-capacity labour camps and multi‑site operations.
• Graduate in any discipline.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence preferred.
• Ex‑Service personnel will be given preference.
