What You 'll Be Doing

• Produce and maintain detailed CAD drawings covering roads, utilities, tunnels, bridges, interchanges, and associated infrastructure works.
• Prepare engineering drawings using approved design information, Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, site conditions, survey records, and instructions from project engineers.
• Revise technical drawings to reflect approved design changes, construction modifications, and updated project requirements.
• Develop and update utility layouts, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, and construction details.
• Maintain drawing accuracy and consistency throughout design coordination and construction supervision activities.

Engineering and Multidisciplinary Coordination

The CAD Technician will work closely with civil engineers, structural engineers, utility specialists, surveyors, and BIM-CAD teams to maintain coordinated technical documentation. Responsibilities include:

• Assist engineering teams in reviewing contractor shop drawings and construction documentation.
• Coordinate CAD drawings across civil, structural, utility, and other relevant disciplines.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential clashes between infrastructure components.
• Incorporate approved technical information received from engineering and construction teams.
• Support the coordination of road alignments, utility arrangements, structural elements, and associated infrastructure details.
• Communicate drawing-related issues to the relevant engineering personnel for review and resolution.

As-Built Drawings and Construction Documentation

• Assist with preparing and verifying as-built drawings using approved site information and survey data.
• Update drawing records to reflect confirmed construction changes.
• Review contractor as-built submissions for consistency with available engineering and site records.

CAD Standards and Drawing Control

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Three-year Diploma or Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant CAD drafting experience involving major roads and infrastructure projects.
• Previous professional experience in Dubai is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience preparing drawings for roads, utilities, tunnels, bridges, interchanges, and related civil infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Dubai RTA standards, technical specifications, drawing requirements, and submission procedures.
• Extensive hands-on experience using AutoCAD for engineering drafting and drawing revisions.
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, engineering design information, survey data, and technical instructions.
• Experience coordinating drawings across multiple engineering disciplines.

Preferred Technical Background
