Job summary

Shangri-La Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Business Development Manager – MICE to drive corporate meetings, incentives, conferences, and events for our premium hotel.

You will identify and develop MICE accounts, negotiate group contracts, and coordinate with operations to deliver outstanding guest experiences while monitoring market trends and pricing strategies across the UAE.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the UAE MICE market and group contracting.
• Excellent negotiation, sales, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage complex proposals and large-scale events.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination across departments.
• Analytical mindset with ability to forecast, budget, and track MICE performance.
• Highly organized and proactive; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, PCOs, and MICE agencies.
• Prepare and negotiate group contracts, proposals, and event packages in coordination with operations teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies within the UAE MICE segment.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, site inspections, and networking events.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Sales, Revenue Management, or Marketing are an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
