Position Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator - Utilities to support digital delivery for utility infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. The role leads BIM coordination, multidisciplinary model integration, clash resolution, information management, and model and drawing delivery for utilities. Acting as a key interface between utility technical leads, digital delivery teams, and other engineering disciplines, the position ensures project information is coordinated and delivered in accordance with BIM requirements, ISO 19650 principles, and established project standards.

Digital Delivery Coordination

The BIM Coordinator will manage the utilities discipline interface with technical project leads and project digital delivery teams. Coordination will extend across roads, landscape, structures, and other disciplines required by the project, including participation in and management of interdisciplinary model coordination activities.

Model Coordination and Clash Management

• * Manage the utilities model coordination space, including the information shared into the coordinated environment and its timing.
• * Track and report progress on clash detection, clash resolution, and outstanding coordination issues.
• * Manage comments raised against BIM models and follow identified issues through to closure.
• * Escalate unresolved coordination matters with the required supporting evidence.
• * Lead utilities coordination within interdisciplinary model coordination meetings.
• * Maintain effective interfaces between utilities, technical leads, digital delivery personnel, and other project disciplines.

Information Management

• * Support the Master Information Delivery Plan and discipline Task Information Delivery Plans.
• * Manage data shortcut configuration across coordinated models.
• * Arrange and maintain project‑specific part catalogues and object libraries.
• * Coordinate model and drawing delivery into the project 's common coordinated environment.
• * Apply ISO 19650 requirements in relation to information states, level of information need, and delivery planning.

BIM Quality and Compliance

• * Manage the discipline model checklist and 3D quality checks.
• * Manage drawing checklists and CAD standards compliance for 2D deliverables.
• * Oversee BIM model production requirements covering geometry, attributes, and required proprietary export formats.
• * Maintain consistency and quality across utilities BIM models and associated drawings.

Technical Capability

• * Expert-level Navisworks capability, including clash matrices, search sets, appearance profiles, resolution tracking, and reporting.
• * Practical knowledge of Civil 3D and Revit for multidisciplinary model coordination.
• * Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360 coordination spaces, or ProjectWise.
• * Working knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles and delivery requirements.
• * Experience with data shortcuts, part catalogues, and object libraries.
• * Revizto experience is an advantage.
• * Dynamo, Python scripting, or ArcGIS capability is advantageous.

Training and Bid Support

The role will also contribute to wider digital delivery capability by providing internal training on BIM authoring tools. Support will be provided to bids and tender responses where BIM capability, delivery approach, and resource requirements need to be demonstrated.
