Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly, courteous, and professional greeting.
- Thank guests as they leave the beach or recreation area.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and provide practical assistance.
- Maintain familiarity with hotel service standards and beach operating procedures.
- Prepare beach beds, cabanas, sunbeds, umbrellas, and towel stations before opening.
- Arrange furniture and equipment according to approved presentation standards.
- Provide clean towels to guests and replenish supplies throughout the day.
- Remove used towels and transfer them to the designated collection area.
- Fold, pack, and secure umbrellas at the end of daily operations.
- Keep beach areas clean, organized, and ready for guest use.
- Remove litter, empty assigned waste containers, and report unusual cleanliness issues.
- Inspect sunbeds, umbrellas, cabanas, pathways, and beach equipment for visible damage.
- Inform the supervisor about maintenance requirements or defective equipment.
- Maintain safe and unobstructed work and guest areas.
- Report suspicious activity, accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow hotel security, safety, emergency, and incident‑reporting procedures.
- Communicate guest comments and complaints to senior employees or supervisors.
- Assist with resolving routine guest concerns within authorized service guidelines.
- Maintain professional grooming and wear the approved uniform correctly.
- Follow attendance, conduct, and operational policies throughout each shift.
- Attend mandatory meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
- Coordinate with Recreation, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, and Guest Services teams.
- Support colleagues during busy periods and special hotel activities.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or hotel management.
Ideal Profile
- High school education or vocational hospitality qualification.
- Minimum 1‑3 years of relevant experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel.
- Previous work in beach operations, pool service, recreation, resorts, or guest services is preferred.
- Courteous and confident communication with international guests.
- Strong awareness of cleanliness, safety, and outdoor facility presentation.
- Ability to follow setup procedures and complete duties without close supervision.
- Good observation skills for identifying hazards, damage, or suspicious activity.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional grooming standards.
- Ability to remain helpful and composed during busy operating periods.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift towels, and move beach equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Cooperative approach when working with colleagues and other departments.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
