Job summary

Kai Beach by Aldar Hospitality on Saadiyat Island seeks a bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding high hygiene and service standards. You will greet guests, suggest beverages, and ensure accurate service per recipes, supporting a smooth, vibrant bar operation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a multi-cultural 5-star hotel setting, is at least 21, and can handle high guest volumes. English proficiency is required, and additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School (GED) or at least 2 years as a Bartender in a 5-star hotel environment.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to handle large restaurant and guest volumes daily.
• Proficiency with computer basics for POS and operations.
• Other languages (Arabic, French, German, Russian, Chinese) would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, presentable uniform and exemplary hygiene standards.
• Be up to date with the latest market trends.
• Attend pre-service briefings and ensure mise en place standards.
• Greet guests professionally and efficiently.
• Make guest recommendations and serve beverages correctly.
• Keep the bar and cellar stocked, clean, and operational.
• Follow food safety regulations and UAE alcohol laws.
• Perform monthly inventories and attend scheduled training.
• Foster teamwork, comply with company policies, and protect assets.
• Maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards.
• Uphold environmental and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Deliver high levels of customer focus and originality in guest experiences.
• Ensure departmental resources are used efficiently.

Bartender's duties are to ensure guests' requirements are met upon arriving at the bar. They must demonstrate a high level of organization, be proactive, and anticipate guests' needs. They must also maintain the appropriate levels of beverage stocks by monitoring purchases and sales, ensuring professional, efficient, and accurate service of all types of beverages following the recipes in standards, and completely satisfying our guests during their meal experience.
