Job summary

Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai in Dubai seeks a skilled bartender to deliver exceptional guest service, upsell beverages, and maintain bar operations. You will ensure timely service, uphold hygiene standards, and work with the team to meet guest expectations across shifts.

The role requires extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, clear communication, and a strong commitment to safety and hospitality excellence to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

• Ability to dialogue informally and effectively with coworkers, through clear articulation of ideas and active listening.

Responsibilities

• To project a pleasant and positive professional image to all guests at all times
• Manage cultural needs and expectations of guests
• Upselling and identification of additional revenue opportunities
• Maintain and adhere to billing policies and procedures
• Punctual attendance to each shift

• Accurate and timely delivery of orders to guests
• Assist Assistant Venue Managers in training new team members
• Assistance in overcoming logistic issues in serving a timely beverage product

• Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage
• Keep bar fully stocked with all items necessary for service
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, tables and lounge area
• Set-up and breakdown the bar
• Prepare drinks for the customers and servers, ensure materials are on hand, and host guest experience
• Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits and assist with inventories; control costs and perform side work duties

• Maintain cleanliness of bar, tables and lounge area. Sweep the floors, polish brass and steel, mop, clean glassware and wipe down mirrors in the outlet. Set-up and breakdown the bar
• Prepare drinks for the customers and servers, ensure that the proper materials and supplies are on hand, and host guest experience
• Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. Assist with inventories as necessary. Control costs & perform opening and closing side work duties as assigned.
