Job summary

Novotel World Trade Centre in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced bartender to welcome guests and deliver high-standard bar service in line with brand standards. You will mix cocktails, pour wines and beers, and ensure a clean, well-stocked bar.

The role requires excellent guest interaction, cash handling, and collaboration with hotel colleagues to provide memorable experiences. Prior hotel/bar experience and bartending certification are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of different beverages, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and serving drinks.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and compliance with regulations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in bartending or alcohol serving is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsible alcohol service and comply with all legal requirements.
• Engage with guests, provide recommendations, and create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure excellent service and guest satisfaction.
• Create signature drinks and specials to enhance the bar menu.
• Participating in training sessions to stay updated on new drink recipes, menu changes, and service standards.
• Collaborating with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for guests.
• Assisting with inventory management, including ordering supplies and keeping track of stock levels.
• Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies as needed.
• Participating in promotional events or special themed nights to attract guests and increase revenue.
• Offering recommendations for food and drink pairings to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
• Providing support and assistance to other hotel staff members during busy periods or special events.
• Building relationships with regular guests and creating a personalized experience to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.
