Bartender - Hotel Bar Service in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Hospitality opportunity for an experienced beverage professional with strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, guest service, and bar operations. Accor is hiring a skilled bartender to prepare consistent beverages, maintain premium service standards, manage stock and cashiering duties, and create engaging guest experiences within a four‑star or five‑star hotel environment. Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any. The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages according to approved recipes, presentation guidelines, and outlet service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks, and other beverage orders.
- Follow approved recipes, measurements, glassware requirements, garnish standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of bar products, premium beverages, cocktail ingredients, and current promotions.
- Welcome guests professionally and provide friendly, personalized, and efficient service.
- Recommend suitable beverages based on guest preferences and apply appropriate upselling techniques.
- Respond courteously to guest enquiries about drinks, ingredients, prices, and outlet offerings.
- Prepare mise en place, garnishes, syrups, mixers, glassware, and service supplies before opening.
- Complete all assigned side duties to keep the bar fully stocked and ready for service.
- Maintain the bar counter, shelves, equipment, storage areas, and surrounding workspace in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow outlet opening and closing procedures accurately.
- Monitor beverage stock levels and report shortages or replenishment needs.
- Reduce spoilage, breakage, over‑pouring, and unnecessary wastage.
- Ensure premium liquor bottles are displayed correctly and maintained at approved stock quantities.
- Handle cash, card payments, guest checks, and point‑of‑sale transactions accurately.
- Follow outlet cashiering controls, payment procedures, and reconciliation requirements.
- Apply HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
- Inspect bar tools and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories of beverages, operating equipment, and supplies.
- Support stock counts and help investigate discrepancies when required.
- Provide on‑the‑job guidance and training to new team members.
- Demonstrate correct beverage preparation, guest service, safety, and cashiering procedures.
- Coordinate with service, kitchen, stewarding, cashiering, and outlet management teams.
- Maintain professional grooming, conduct, and confidentiality at all times.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by outlet or hotel management.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or degree in Vocational Hospitality or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of bartending experience in a four‑star or five‑star hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining establishment.
- HACCP certification and full compliance with food safety standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, mocktails, and beverage service.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent drink quality and presentation.
- Practical experience using point‑of‑sale systems and handling cash and card payments.
- Understanding of bar opening, closing, stock control, and inventory procedures.
- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Confident communication with the ability to recommend products and increase sales naturally.
- Good organization and time management in a busy outlet environment.
- Ability to remain accurate and composed during high‑volume service periods.
- Careful attention to cleanliness, portioning, stock usage, and presentation.
- Team‑oriented approach with the ability to train and support new colleagues.
