Job summary

Ennismore's DELANO Dubai on Bluewaters Island is seeking a motivated Commis I – Banquets to join its culinary team. You will assist with preparation, mise en place, and execution of intimate celebrations through large events, under the guidance of experienced chefs.

You will follow recipes, maintain high standards of food safety, prep for meetings and weddings, and work with a collaborative team to deliver memorable dining experiences in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis I or Commis II in hotel banquet operations.
• Strong foundation in food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Banqueting exposure with buffet or high-volume service is an advantage.
• Attention to recipes, portion controls and presentation standards.
• Organisation and adaptability to busy service periods.
• Willingness to learn and take feedback to improve skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for banquet menus and events.
• Assist with cooking, plating and buffet setup under senior chefs.
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure quality.
• Support food prep for meetings, weddings and other events.
• Keep workstation clean and ready for service.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene and storage procedures.
• Assist with dietary requirements and allergen handling as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely service.
• Participate in training and apply feedback to improve skills.
