Job summary

Yosh in Abu Dhabi seeks a Chef de Partie to lead bakery and pastry production in a hotel kitchen. You will prepare a range of breads, pastries, desserts and cakes, while maintaining quality and presentation to hotel standards.

You will manage the bakery section during service, mentor junior colleagues, and work with other kitchen teams to ensure smooth service and adherence to food safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or pastry kitchen is required; Chef de Partie level experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of professional kitchen standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, decorate and present breads, pastries, desserts and cakes.
• Manage assigned bakery section during service and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Plan and complete daily mise en place and adjust production for guest numbers, menus, events, and service requirements.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines and presentation specifications to maintain quality and minimise waste.
• Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, and stock, rotating stock and reporting shortages or quality concerns.
• Assist with menu development and creation of seasonal bakery items including dietary options.
• Maintain accurate records of food preparation, temperatures, cleaning and stock in line with hotel procedures.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen management and health and safety procedures.
