Job summary

Yosh in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead the bakery and pastry section. You will prepare breads, pastries, desserts, and cakes to high standards and support the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

You will manage daily mise en place, monitor quality and waste, and collaborate with colleagues from other sections to ensure smooth service. Prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is required, with Chef de Partie level preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery or pastry kitchen experience required.
• Experience at Chef de Partie level desirable.
• Sound knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, decorate, and present breads, pastries, desserts, and cakes to standards.
• Manage bakery section during service and ensure timely orders.
• Plan daily mise en place and adjust production for guest numbers and events.
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Monitor ingredient quality, rotate stock, and report shortages.
• Assist with menu development and seasonal items including dietary options.
• Maintain accurate records of food prep, temperatures, cleaning, and stock.
• Adhere to food safety and allergen management procedures.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Support training of junior kitchen colleagues and coordinate with other sections.
