Rixos Hotels in Dubai seeks an experienced AV Manager to oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of comprehensive audio-visual systems for high-profile events. You will manage budgets, coordinate with planners, and lead a skilled AV team on-site to ensure flawless productions.

The role requires 3–5 years in AV management, a related bachelor’s degree preferred, and a proactive, safety‑minded approach. Flexible shifts and weekend work are anticipated for events.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment.
• Ensure AV gear is in good condition and manage repairs as needed.
• Manage AV inventory, storage and organization.
• Collaborate with event planners to understand AV requirements.
• Provide on-site support during events for smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot issues during events and resolve promptly.
• Supervise AV team, provide guidance, training, and support.
• Plan and coordinate AV setup for events and meetings.
• Ensure AV elements align with event objectives and standards.
• Train technicians on use and maintenance of equipment.
• Stay updated on AV tech trends and train the team accordingly.
• Prepare and manage the AV department budget.

Job Description

• Oversee the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, video displays, sound systems, and video conferencing systems.
• Ensure all AV equipment is in good working condition and manage repairs or replacements as needed.
• Manage the AV inventory, keeping track of all equipment and ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Collaborate with event planners and other stakeholders to understand AV requirements for events and meetings.
• Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operation of AV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during events.
• Supervise and manage the AV team , providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Plan and coordinate the setup of AV equipment for events and meetings.
• Ensure that all AV elements are aligned with the event’s objectives and quality standards.

• Be fully aware of recreation’s facilities, Evening programs and shows timings - concept
• Using S&L Eq's like; projection systems,visiual splitters, build truss construction, wireless microphones and setting up frequencies, use light desk, dmx addresses, programing light desk, connecting dmx splitter,managing the show.
• Managing bands or singers sound check, and stage setup , singer riders.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in AV management or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Audio-Visual Technology, Information Technology, or Event Management) is preferred
