Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ph.D. in Mass Communication / Communication Studies, obtained from a reputable university (preferably internationally ranked and accredited).
- Applicants holding a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Management, or Marketing without an academic degree background in Mass Communication/Communication (e.g., BA/MA in Communication/Media/PR/Advertising) will not be considered.
- Five or more years of teaching experience in an internationally accredited reputable university.
- Demonstrable excellence in developing and teaching (including but not limited to) Marketing Communication, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Digital Communication, Advertising, and related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Outstanding record of research and peer-reviewed publications in reputable indexed journals (e.g., Scopus).
- A record of collaborative and interdisciplinary research is an advantage.
- Demonstrable record of supervising student projects and dissertations/theses.
- Excellent record of professional and community service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, deliver, and assess graduate and undergraduate courses in Communication, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Advertising, and Digital Communication.
- Engage in innovative and technology-based approaches to teaching and learning.
- Provide academic advising services to students.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
- Participate in committees and service tasks at department/college/university levels as assigned.
- Actively contribute to the growth and visibility of Ajman University.
- Provide consultancy and industry-facing services to Ajman University partners and business community members.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
