Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced HR Manager to partner with plant leadership on HR policy, workforce planning, performance, and compliance with UAE labour law.
You will coach managers, drive budgeting for human capital, and develop talent across the organisation, ensuring a proactive, compliant HR service.
Contributes to improvements to departmental policies and supports the implementation of procedures and controls with the respective function projects ensuring that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality cost-effective service to internal customers Communicates newly established policies to the business and acts as an active change agent for Human Capital changes Guides and supports area managers on HC-related policies and provides advice and guidance on challenges Acts as the business partner for the non-supervisory population in the assigned area
Assists in preparing the departmental budget for the assigned plant project by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements Works with line managers on human capital-related costs such as workforce planning budgets and budget review cycles Supports area managers and leaders in cost-saving initiatives impacting workforce costs Reviews workforce costs overtime and other HC-related cost elements regularly and works with line management to resolve cost-related challenges
Provides support to the Senior HC Business Partner through sharing information and key communications from area managers for the timely implementation of HC initiatives Develops maintains and communicates promotion and competency guidelines and processes across all areas Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management and employees including coaching counseling grievance handling and career development Provides line managers with guidance on business unit restructures workforce planning and succession planning Works with leadership to ensure employees have the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives Supports succession planning and retention strategies for key talent and positions Meets regularly with functional leadership to track pending issues and challenges
Supports the enforcement and implementation of HC corporate procedures and guidelines within the assigned population Ensures continuous communication of policy changes and provides guidance to employees on their rights and responsibilities Communicates HR-related information to keep employees updated on Human Capital initiatives
Coordinates administrative requests and employee queries to ensure timely responses in line with HR policies and procedures Assists in the investigation and resolution of employee disciplinary matters and grievances Provides coaching and guidance to operational area management regarding employment issues and partners with supported areas on HR matters
Assists and supports the plant in completing the performance management process providing training and consultation as required to ensure consistent and timely execution
Ensures compliance with all relevant safety quality and environmental management policies procedures and controls across the assigned plant
Performs other related duties and assignments as directed
Works within established guidelines policies and procedures while proposing and making decisions to resolve issues in partnership with business areas Consults with and updates the direct manager regularly on significant matters Exercises discretion within established practices procedures and guidelines with outputs subject to managerial review
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience 5-7 years of relevant experience in Human Resources Management, including experience in progressively increasing supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
