Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil - Infrastructure) to supervise day-to-day delivery of roads and multi-utility works, ensuring safety, compliance and high quality execution.

You will report to the Resident Engineer, coordinate with design engineers and the supervision team, review submittals, and maintain records and daily diaries to support progress reporting and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure and utilities construction supervision/delivery.
• Strong background in roads, stormwater, potable water and telecom infrastructure.
• Ability to review material submittals, lab reports, and ensure specs/quality compliance.
• Knowledge of contractual relationships; strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil - Infrastructure) to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will supervise day-to-day delivery of roads and multi-utility infrastructure works, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising construction of roads and infrastructure works and associated items.
• Act in place of the Resident Engineer when required and coordinate activities with other engineers and the supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, design proposals, and correspondence related to utilities/infrastructure works; draft responses for RE review.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and site queries.
• Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and resource deployment; support progress measurement and reporting.
• Direct and monitor inspectors and surveyors as applicable; maintain daily diaries and ensure record completeness.
• Chair coordination meetings with service authorities, contractors, and stakeholders; support issuance of site instructions as required.
• Support HSE implementation and ensure safety goals are achieved on site.
• Verify measured works and maintain accurate as-built records; support utility handover and final clearances.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years experience in construction supervision/delivery of infrastructure and utilities works, with prior experience working as ARE-Civil.
• Strong background across utilities/infrastructure including roads, stormwater, potable water and telecommunications.
• Strong technical capability to review material submittals, technical/lab reports, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Sound knowledge of contractual relationships, strong documentation discipline, and full computer literacy for reporting and records.
• Strong Communication & Reporting Skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Strong knowledge of QA specifications and statistical quality control practices.
• Extensive experience across wet and dry utilities and multi-utility interface management.
