Core Duties
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising roads, bridges, utilities, and associated infrastructure construction works.
- Act in place of the Resident Engineer during leave or absence when assigned.
- Coordinate daily site activities with engineers, inspectors, surveyors, contractors, and construction supervision team members.
- Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, technical submissions, and correspondence related to utility and infrastructure works.
- Prepare draft technical replies and recommendations for review by the Resident Engineer.
- Coordinate with Parsons design engineers to resolve design, site, and construction‑related issues.
- Maintain daily diaries, inspection reports, site records, and documentation prepared by inspectors.
- Coordinate with contractor engineers on work scheduling, resource allocation, construction sequence, and site priorities.
- Direct, assist, and monitor the performance of inspectors, surveyors, and assigned site staff.
- Convene and chair coordination meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and parties related to the assigned works.
- Ensure that project records, inspection data, progress details, and technical documentation are accurate and complete.
- Support achievement of project safety goals and oversee implementation of required safety procedures.
- Prepare and assist in weekly and monthly progress reports for project leadership and client review.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental matters as required by the Resident Engineer and project safety representatives.
- Provide on‑site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions for utilities and related infrastructure works.
- Check and measure completed works, record quantities, and help compare actual progress against programmed works.
- Review material submissions, laboratory reports, technical reports, testing results, and acceptance sampling plans.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of as‑built drawings and support handover of utility works to service authorities.
- Assist the contractor in obtaining final clearances required for project closeout.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of roads and infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in roads, bridges, utilities, and large‑scale infrastructure works.
- Proven experience managing supervision activities on major infrastructure projects within the UAE.
- Ability to review and justify material submissions, technical reports, laboratory results, acceptance sampling plans, testing procedures, and quality control measures.
- Sound knowledge of contractual relationships, construction supervision procedures, site coordination, and consultant responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of project specifications, civil engineering standards, quality assurance requirements, and statistical quality control practices.
- Fully computer literate with the ability to use project‑specific engineering, construction, documentation, and reporting software.
- Fluent English communication skills with excellent written technical ability and strong oral coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain necessary records, as‑built documentation, inspection files, and handover records.
- Must be available in the UAE.
