This role is responsible for supporting operational stability and service excellence within tMart's quick commerce environment. The Assistant Manager - tMart Operations will help monitor daily execution, identify workflow gaps, improve order fulfillment quality, support field audits, and ensure frontline teams follow operating procedures, schedules, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of daily operational processes across assigned business areas.
- Oversee day-to-day activity within dark stores, fulfillment operations, last‑mile support, customer experience, or related operational functions.
- Ensure teams follow standard operating procedures, company policies, service standards, and safety expectations.
- Identify operational issues early and resolve or elevate them quickly to avoid delays, service failures, or customer impact.
- Assist in monitoring inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, delivery timelines, productivity, waste, and service quality.
- Conduct regular field visits across assigned areas to audit operations and check on‑ground compliance.
- Review local workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and support practical fixes that improve efficiency.
- Track and analyze key operational KPIs such as order accuracy, delivery SLAs, waste, productivity, and team performance.
- Prepare regular operational reports and highlight risks, trends, and areas requiring management attention.
- Provide useful insights and recommendations that support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Supervise frontline teams and help ensure productivity, schedule adherence, and quality execution during daily operations.
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and performance support for operations staff.
- Coordinate staffing, shift planning, and team deployment based on operational demand.
- Work with the Operations Manager to implement process improvement initiatives and cost‑control measures.
- Coordinate with supply chain, category, customer service, finance, and other internal teams to keep operations moving smoothly.
- Act as a point of contact for operational issues and support timely resolution.
- Ensure accurate use of inventory management, order management, and related operational systems.
- Support system adoption, maintain data accuracy, and provide feedback for system enhancements.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, preferably within e‑commerce, quick commerce, retail, grocery, logistics, or fulfillment environments.
- Experience managing frontline teams and supporting day‑to‑day operational execution.
- Exposure to warehouse operations, dark stores, fulfillment centers, or last‑mile delivery operations is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, follow-ups, reports, and operational routines.
- Detail‑focused approach with the ability to spot process gaps, compliance issues, and performance risks.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with confidence in using data to support decisions.
- Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced and changing operational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with teams, supervisors, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
