Role Context

The Architectural Inspector - Site Works will support construction supervision activities for building and architectural projects in Dubai. The role focuses on inspecting architectural finishes, building components, material installations, contractor submissions, site records, safety compliance, and quality procedures. By working closely with discipline engineers, project managers, contractors, and client representatives, the inspector will help ensure that architectural execution remains compliant, well‑documented, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct architectural site inspections, surveillance checks, and testing reviews in line with approved inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Monitor architectural engineering activities to confirm that construction works are executed according to project documents and quality requirements.
• Liaise with the Senior Architectural Engineer, discipline engineers, managers, and site teams to provide inspection updates and technical support.
• Review contractor documents, shop drawings, method statements, and related submissions to identify issues affecting architectural components or systems.
• Monitor contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan and project inspection protocols.
• Inspect architectural finishes, building structure components, material placement, installation quality, and workmanship standards.
• Perform architectural inspections and material inspections for building components, finishes, and site installations.
• Maintain daily site diaries, formal site records, monthly progress photography, inspection reports, and testing documentation.
• Prepare daily logs, progress updates, inspection records, and reports covering architectural works and site observations.
• Review variations and site changes to help reduce potential time, cost, quality, or design coordination impacts.
• Assist in expediting NOCs, client approvals, contractor submissions, and delayed approval processes when required.
• Coordinate with contractors to support timely submissions, approvals, inspections, corrective actions, and project workflow.
• Issue NCRs to contractors when non‑compliance is identified and assist in tracking corrective actions through closure.
• Verify that completed works meet design requirements, specifications, project plans, and contract administration procedures.
• Support inspection of completed architectural works before acceptance, handover, or closeout stages.
• Monitor HSE matters linked to architectural installations and participate in safety training, meetings, and site coordination discussions.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of overall experience in architectural inspection, site supervision, or construction quality monitoring.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction supervision with a consultancy environment.
• Experience in architectural-type projects, building construction, finishes inspection, and site quality control.
• Strong understanding of shop drawings, specifications, inspection plans, method statements, codes, and architectural project documentation.
• Practical experience monitoring contractor performance, submittals, approvals, quality records, and site execution.
• Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports, daily diaries, NCR records, progress notes, and photographic documentation.
• Good coordination skills with engineers, contractors, consultants, managers, and client-side project teams.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing finishes, building components, materials, workmanship, and compliance requirements.
