Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, health and safety requirements, and project updates.
- Inspect architectural works on‑site to confirm compliance with approved drawings, codes, specifications, contract requirements, and quality procedures.
- Monitor contractor activities through observation, measurement, testing coordination, and review of quality assurance progress.
- Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, material deliveries, work locations, activities observed, and construction methods used.
- Undertake site supervision and inspection duties when instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Document assigned work areas clearly, including personnel, equipment, progress, reasons for activities, and means and methods used by the contractor.
- Follow up on site instructions issued by project leadership and help ensure required actions are implemented on‑site.
- Apply site quality controls and quality procedures during inspections, measurements, documentation, and reporting.
- Prepare site measurements and surveying checks required by project leadership for verification of completed or ongoing works.
- Monitor conformance with quality, performance, specification, and code requirements through regular inspection activities.
- Report material delivery status, construction observations, quality concerns, and any site deviations that may affect project delivery.
- Monitor health and safety conditions during construction works and report unsafe practices, violations, or site risks.
- Support the inspection of completed architectural works before approval, handover, or continuation of follow‑on activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, site teams, and supervision staff to support smooth inspection flow and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain organized inspection records, daily site logs, testing notes, measurement records, and supporting project documentation.
- Assist project teams in identifying non‑compliance, workmanship concerns, and repeated quality issues that require corrective action.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in building construction, architectural inspection, site supervision, or quality monitoring.
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, construction documents, quality controls, and site inspection procedures.
- Practical experience monitoring contractor manpower, equipment, material delivery, work progress, and site activity records.
- Ability to perform site measurements, support surveying checks, and verify work against approved project requirements.
- Familiarity with construction quality assurance, quality control procedures, inspection reporting, and site documentation.
- Awareness of health and safety requirements on active construction sites.
- Able to follow instructions from Resident Engineers, Assistant Resident Engineers, and project supervision leaders.
- Strong attention to detail when checking workmanship, materials, compliance, and construction activity records.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors, engineers, and site teams.
