Job summary

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Captain Waiter (Arabic Speaker) to lead a designated service station in our All Day Dining restaurant, delivering exceptional dining experiences with luxury hospitality standards. The role requires fluent Arabic and English, strong leadership, guest relations excellence, and prior upscale hotel dining experience.

You will supervise Waiters and Hostesses, coordinate with kitchen and service staff, and contribute to guest satisfaction and revenue

Qualifications

• Fluent in Arabic and English for interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities in a luxury dining setting.
• Excellent guest service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional grooming and presentation standards are required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Ensure attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide tailored recommendations.
• Coordinate service activities and oversee a designated station.
• Ensure smooth communication between guests, service staff, kitchen, and management.
• Monitor table turnover and dining flow to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Ensure proper table setup according to luxury standards.
• Verify accurate food and beverage service and timely delivery.
• Train new colleagues on service standards and menu knowledge.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Conduct regular checks of dining areas for cleanliness and presentation.
• Address guest feedback and implement luxury service initiatives.
• Promote menu specials and beverage pairings; upsell where appropriate.
