Job summary

DeepSource Technologies in Dubai seeks an experienced Application Operations Engineer to ensure stability, availability, and performance of enterprise applications. You will manage incidents, problems, changes, releases, backups, DR tests, and service improvements across multiple teams.

You will drive monitoring, capacity planning, and post-implementation reviews while coordinating with cross-functional groups to maintain application health and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Application Operations / Application Support in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on incident and problem management at L2/L3 levels.
• Experience with change management, release planning and application-layer changes.
• Experience conducting risk and impact assessments for application changes.
• Experience monitoring application performance and availability and performing event correlation.
• Experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of OS, database, and middleware hardening and patching.
• Experience capacity and performance management.
• Experience maintaining CMDB records.

Responsibilities

• Manage L2/L3 functional incidents, including escalation and incident bridges.
• Perform incident and problem management with trend analysis and permanent fixes.
• Develop and manage Service Improvement Plans.
• Support release schedules and planning activities.
• Plan and coordinate Change Requests with risk assessments.
• Implement application changes and perform post-implementation reviews.
• Handle configuration requests and monitor performance/availability.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure stability and service delivery.
• Test and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures.
• Maintain accurate CMDB records for application components.
